Okay.

[Dipper peeks through his fingers nervously. This is the first time he's been present as Ken opens one of his gifts and it's unexpectedly nerve-wracking.]

[Unfortunately for Dipper, Ken is one of those people who peels a wrapping paper apart instead of ripping right into it so this takes forever, almost. But Ken's nervous, too. His face is red and he fumbles, but he'll manage to get it open]

[The paper slowly peels away to show a book about the history of soccer, with various strategies and techniques. By the time Ken actually gets to the book, Dipper is nearly vibrating with nerves.]

Oh!

[Oh, it's a book. Ken's eyes go round when he sees what the book is on, and the moment the paper is off he immediately starts flipping through it. He's actually wanted this book! Whoa!]

[As Ken flips through the book, Dipper starts to babble nervously.]

I know some people think books are lame presents, but I think they're pretty neat? And I saw this one and thought you might like it and you'd be able to use it with your team and it got good reviews online, so it's definitely not horrible--

Are you kidding? Books are great! I was wondering what to do too since I already finished all the ones Charlie got me -- oh, look!

[He's already scooting close so he can show Dipper a page discussing some sort of strategy.] This is the one we've been practicing lately. This is neat.

[Dipper does not understand that diagram at all, but he's tentatively smiling.]

I do! I've actually been looking at this book for a while and -- oh, this is the tip the coach was talking about. I think it was. Dipper, this is great.
