..Yeah, still kinda getting used to that one.
[Because guess who missed out on that whole year.]
...
You're damn right we are, Ken. I've got your back, and you've got mine. But you've got some good friends now too, yeah? Don't feel like you always have to be the one supporting them. They're there for you too.

It does, doesn't it. [She says, quietly. Thoughtfully.] ...I admit, I didn't know what to make of it, at first. To see Shinjiro again. To see Arisato again. Now I'm just happy I got a little more time with them. |
[She pauses, trying to imagine what that would have been like. It's not difficult, mostly because...] I can't blame you in the slightest. I was-- you could say I was plenty disbelieving in my own right when I first arrived here, myself.
And that's even with all of you to help explain the situation. [She'd thought it was a trick, though.]
And that's even with all of you to help explain the situation. [She'd thought it was a trick, though.]
It really is strange. [She nods, crossing her arms over her chest.] Even by our standards.
It's actually quite interesting, how all of us here are accustomed to such different things. I spoke with a man who claimed to be an expert on temporal mechanics, but the idea of a twenty-fifth hour in the day seemed incomprehensible to him.

The various intricacies of time, as I understand it. How time works.
He claimed to be a time traveler. So... in other words, that.

[Look at that big doggo, goodness gracious.]
looks like we're having leonburgers for dinner

[ as they both gain speed, Hinami holds Ken's hand tighter in her own. No matter how high he can jump, she can give him a boost, and she'd rather not risk him falling somehow.
And as soon as they're jumping she's practically shrieking with laughter because, really, she doesn't do this nearly enough. ]

[ HO HO HO, AND MERRY CHRISTMAS! Courtesy of beetlemail, Ken will be receiving: a bag of soccer balls and a DVD of Lone Wolf And Cub, which he totally didn't hear about from this universe's version of Bob's Burgers.]
Merry Christmas, Ken! With your friends, I figured you guys could use all the soccer balls you can get, right?

[ Kaneki only celebrates New Years, so that's the day he'll be dropping off gifts. For Ken, he will leave incense, a soccer ball, a small porcelain Maneki-neko and of course home-made mochi - as well a note ]
I'll remember 2016 like it was yesterday.

[Today, Kidou came to school with a mission. To outside observers, he went through the day as usual, shoving his mission to the back of his mind while in class only to resume it when in the hallways or during lunch, keeping his eyes out for a specific brown-haired soccer player.
He had to get Amada alone somewhere people weren't as likely to overhear. This whole thing has been planned out to the exact wording; Genda would deserve no less than his best effort to make this work. But it won't work at all if he can't find the moment to do this.
His chance came later in the day than he'd like, but the locker room provided the first decent chance he'd found. Kidou wastes no further time in making a beeline towards his friend, waiting only until Noodle's moved out of earshot to quietly begin. It's not often that Kidou asks anything of his friends off the field; he tends to only do so when it's important.]

Amada, I have a request.
[Ken cuts over him, startling Kidou into momentary silence. Not many people talk over him, even to give him permission to go ahead, or agree. He stares at Amada, more curious as to what prompted that than anything. He wasn't often that impatient, and that look on his face ... no, it can't be annoyance.
While he's still thrown off his plan, his friend continues to clarify. The lighting is bright, but there are no lights far enough ahead to cast bright reflections off the tinted glass of his goggles. Instead, it gives just the right angle to betray a faint shadow of narrow eyes behind them as they widen in very real surprise.
He doesn't reply immediately. His mind is too busy reeling from the implications of what he just heard. Before even listening to what Kidou was going to ask, Amada has already agreed. It could have been anything. Does he have an idea what it would be already? Is he guessing?
That specific wording Kidou'd crafted over the weekend is gone right out of his mind. Goodbye, planning. It was nice while it lasted.]
Without knowing what it is?

I believe you've met Genda.
[That sentence he'd had is cast into scattered fragments, but he recovers smoothly enough. Somewhere underneath his endless chain of 'he would say yes no matter what', he's gotten enough back together to get to the point.
By the time he does, he's got a smile of his own.]
He has a power that requires multiple people to activate. The wording's not clear enough to understand the extent of its capabilities.
I'd like to ask your help in testing it.
