[After his talk with Minato the day before, Dipper screwed up his courage and is actually! Standing in front of Heropa 15! And ringing the doorbell!]

[Ken was waiting to ambush him, but he wasn't expecting Dipper to actually ring the bell! Weird. He will open it for him.]

I was thinking you might end this entire thing without telling me about it once.

...I thought about it. But that isn't really fair to you. Happy Hanukkah? Sorry I've been weird about it.

It's like Christmas, but it lasts for eight days. And there are candles and stuff.

...That might be good, yeah.

Is it for a different religion? I know America has a lot.

Yeah, me and Mabel are half Jewish. But we still do Christmas.

[Ken does not understand the concept of being half a religion. Half a religion???

I just thought... it'd be a nice boyfriend kind of thing to do? But then I got really nervous and stupid.

I didn't say it was stupid. Come on, look.

[He waits until Dipper is paying attention before leaning over and pulling off his hoodie (it's red today, oddly; another gift from a friend a long time ago) so Dipper can see that he's wearing that shirt he gave him a couple days back.]

It was a nice thing to do. But I'd like it if I can properly thank you?

Of course I like them! But... I have to think about Christmas, don't I? We do Christmas, sort of, in Japan too. I've never gotten anything for anyone but my mom before.

I've only ever gotten presents for Mabel, so I'm not much better.

It has something to do with oil burning eight days longer than it should have. S'why we light candles every night.

My family usually just does one big present instead of a bunch of little ones.
